Summer ACT

With three weeks left of school, things can get stressful. The stress may have caused students to miss out on taking the ACT.

If you missed the opportunity to take the ACT during the school year, don’t panic as there are other opportunities for it to be taken. There are opportunities to take the ACT during the summer.

If students plan on taking the ACT in the summer, make sure to sign up before the school year is over if you want your fee to be waived. Although it is recommended to sign up during the school year, students don’t have to. Students can sign up on their own on time, before the deadline, but there will be a fee.

There also will be a few ACT workshops held at WSU during the summer. If students are interested in taking part of these activities, they can go to the college career center to sign up and to get more information about the ACT and ACT workshops.

Workshops are very helpful to students, it gives them a little extra preparation for the ACT.

“Many students have said that going to the ACT workshop helped them prepare for what’s going to be on the ACT,”  TRIO director Miguel said.

Students taking the ACT should be well-rested, have eaten breakfast, and make sure to bring the needed items (pencil, eraser, and calculator). These things will help students to get better scores.

For some colleges ACT scores to me at least 21 or higher, so that is the score to shoot for, but if you do not get the desired score, you can retake it again.
