Reality U gives students insight into adulthood

This week Reality U came to our school to give 10th graders the experiences of being an adult. Every student starts off with a monthly check that is based off your job that’s chosen and a credit score, then must go through each booth buying all the things you and your family need. If students chose to be married, they must work together with buying everything.

This teaches 10th graders a lesson on how it is to be an adult, and how to spend money responsively between bills, foods and clothes.  Each booth explains how it works, for example how it works to pay off student loans and what plans you can pick from. Some people were handed crying babies and had to hold them while still going to the booths. At the very end you must go back to the banking booth and put money down and retire. Retiring means you complete everything and completed the lesson. Students going to each of the booths
