The boys Basketball team won their second nail-bitter game of their 2017 season against East High School, winning 57-53. After leading East by 13 at halftime, East had a chance to tie the game with 26 seconds left. However Senior Peyton Hatter made sure that didn’t happen. Hatter blocked a layup attempt with 2 seconds left to seal the win for North.

“It was a big time block,” head coach Gary Squires. “Big time players make big time plays.”

Freshman Jackie Johnson led North with 23 points. Hatter and Senior Daniel Moose added 15 and 10 respectively.

North faces the same situation that they faced last season after starting 2-0. They look to avenge its loss to South last season this Friday at North.

“We need to take care of business early,” head coach Gary Squires. “Lets play some smart, solid basketball.”
