Head Boys Basketball coach Michael Bailey knew heading into the season that defense was going to be his team’s calling card. Through the first two games, North is holding true to that statement.

After defeating Newton 36-27 at the GWAL/AVCTL Challenge last week, North took care of West 60-56 last night at West.

“Going into the season we wanted to be more aggressive on defense.  I felt that this change would give us the best opportunity to win games,” Bailey said.

After a tightly contested first three quarters, North used a 7-0 run to grab the lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Michael Bailey Jr. led us in scoring with 21 points, Angelo Inscho had 11 points, and Jacob Wassall had 10 points. Bailey Jr. is leading the team in scoring, averaging 16.6 ppg and Jacob Wassall is averaging 10.5 ppg.
