Boys soccer to rely on depth

As the school year starts so do fall sports and at North high our well know soccer team begins to make noise.

As the senior start their last year the freshman look up to their example both on and off the pitch Coach Wullschleger said the seniors teach the new incomers the ways unlike the typical senior class that would boss freshman around.

Every year we hope to have more and more talent coming in and this year both Coach W and Coach Sullivan have said that this could be in fact one of the best soccer years they have coached. Jv and c-team has great freshman talent and they are hoping that as the year goes by some of the boys move up to varsity.

Varsity is starting off their season at Blue Valley West High in the Fat Cat tournament. Wullschleger is hoping that his midfield sets up the tone right away and get the boys up and running early in the season.  Coach is hoping that the boys use the fact that they were ranked 5th in the City League pre-season poll this year as motivation to push harder and not fall no matter what.

North opens play on Sept. 3rd against Shawnee Mission Northwest.
