Girls basketball team ready for redemption

The girls varsity basketball team is facing a lot of adversity going back to last season and they hope to improve their team chemistry and improve their win column as well. Returning players such as Ty Agnew have waited for the season to start since ending off last season to a bad ending. The ladies hope to come up big with an upset this Friday night when they take on the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles at Bishop Carroll High school, located on 8101 W. Central Ave.

Senior guard Alyssia “Cece” Crigler stated that “us girls have been working our behinds off since the very first day of tryouts and in practice.”

Even though North starts out with such a tough opponent, Crigler isn’t worried.

“We are more than happy to play Bishop Carroll first because we know how tough of an opponent they are and to start off a victory against Carroll would be such a confidence booster for not just me but for the team and fans,” she said.
