FAFSA Night and the Myths Surrounding It

Nate Bruce, Reporter

In a recent interview College & Career Counselor Logan Stork cleared up some of the misconceptions about the FAFSA and the event we hold for the students that would like to apply.

It’s assumed that every student comes to FAFSA night looking for “free college money”, according to Ms. Stork “That’s what you would think, but it’s quite the opposite. We might get Sixty60 students who come and fill out the form.”

The FAFSA form, additionally, is believed to be atrocious to fill out, but on North’s FAFSA Night, it’s quite the contrary: “On FAFSA night, we get people to come out and assist with the forms.”

Stork was also adamant in saying that “Any student who’s serious about going to college will, at one point or another, fill out the FAFSA.”

North’s FAFSA night will be held on October 4, between 5 and 7 p.m., and will be available to anyone ready to apply.
