Girls team takes first at cross country meet

The cross country team had a meet at Cessna on Sept. 15. The runners turned in some great performances, and the girls varsity team won first place.

Coach Traci Nigg said,  “They powered through and this resulted in some great times.”

Many runners set new personal records, and both boys and girls varsity runners brought home some medals.

The varsity boys ran in the Elite meet. Michael Iyali placed 3rd, Andrew Setser placed 11th, and Jackson Setser placed 17th overall.

For the varsity girls, Patricia Koma placed 2nd, Nayelly Rosales placed 7th, and Kelly Sargent placed 17th.

Brian Ayers won a first place medal in the boys JV race, and for the C-team boys, Lane Werth placed first.
