Summer Job opportunity for students

The Wichita Workforce Center has decided to organize a Youth Employment Project. This employment project provides job fairs, workshops, interviews, applications, etc.

The Wichita Workforce Center has been helping people get jobs for a while now but has decided to help students find summer jobs.

“They are looking to help as many students as possible,” College Career Center Coordinator, Mrs. Stork said.

Students will learn where to look for a job, what goes into an application and how to prepare for an interview. Students will also have a chance to earn an essential work skills certificate in just one day!

This not only gives students a chance to find a summer job, but to also learn independence.

Students will learn what it is like to look for, find, and keep a job. These are skills people will need throughout their entire life.

There will be three workshops held on May 24, May 30, and May 31. They all begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

Job fairs will be held on May 25 and June 8.

If you are interested in finding a summer job, this is definitely beneficial to you. You don’t want to miss out on a great opportunity.
