Kicking off this season, the baseball team had its first game on Thursday March 29th. The team went against North West, the scores were 14-2 and 12-2. “I expected a closer score, nerves got the best us” Head coach Randy Griffitts said. During the 1st inning of both games, the Redskins gave up 6 runs while only allowing one hit. During practices, everything was going well, which was why coach was surprised. For the next game they will “plan simple plays and practice the little things” and also “I expect to play better Wednesday at South.” During the second game coach describes it as them “being their own enemy.” For future reference, they hope to go out there and “over come a lot of mistakes.” Griffitts said. At the end of the day, coach ended with this statement, “We’ll get better, we have to.”
