Threats need to stop

North High’s annual pep assembly has been canceled due to a threat.

This is the second time North High has been threatened in the past two weeks.

Could this be a joke?

“Students shouldn’t joke about these matters. It affects the other people around them,” Sophomore Marshal Underwood said.

Should the Board Of Education take this as a serious matter?

Students are missing school because their parents are afraid something may occur at school.

Students are starting to be affected by these threats.

When students are at school they should feel safe. As of now, many students do not feel safe because of the threats.

North High is an enjoyable place to be. The students and staff here are very kind and loving. For the most part, students are respectful and eager to learn. The staff here are more than just teachers, they try to hep in any way possible.

“North is a good school. I doubt someone would shoot up this school, for most people this place feels like home,” Sophomore Tia Hadley said.

Although I believe that North High is a safe place to be, I also believe that anything can happen and that if students are doing this as a joke it needs to stop.
