The Aftermath of The Threat

The threat found at Wichita North last Wednesday resulted in 178 students who missed school Thursday, specifically reporting to the office that they were staying out of school because of the threat. There were many more absences, but those students called in other reasons.

Principal Sherman Padgett was disappointed in the number of students who missed school Thursday. He said, “Learning is like food for your brain. Students should be coming to school.”

Padgett said that threats will be taken seriously, but they will not result in the cancellation of school.

The person who left the threat has not been identified.
