On December 1st, the boys varsity basketball team claimed its first win of the season over Bishop Carrolls Golden Eagles, 65-64.

North had a rough first half, scoring only three points in the second quarter.

Head coach Gary Squires blamed the teams slow start on “bad shot selection and not enough movement on defense.”

Entering the locker room at half time with a 10point deficit, Squires pushed ball movement and tough defense.

North came out, kicked the energy up and focused on closing.

Senior Peyton Hatter won the game for with an open three point shot in the final seconds of the game.

Freshman Jackie Johnson III led North with 27 points, with Hatter adding 23.

The Redskins take on East tonight at North at 7:30 p.m.
