Band performs well at K-State

Audrey Miller, Student

Last Saturday, October 7th, North High’s Marching Redskins participated in the Central States Marching Festival, held annually on the K-State campus. The band performed their show, Shades of Latin, and received an overall rating of two. Band ratings work a lot like golf, as lower numbers indicate a higher score. The ratings range from one to five, with one often being dubbed “superior”, and five being the lowest rating attainable, and typically unheard of. Our band’s rating breaks down as follows:

Music Performance – two

Marching – two

General Effect – one

Color Guard – two

Percussion – one

The Marching Redskins will compete again at the annual Neewollah Marching Festival held in Independence, KS, later this month.
