Principal Cups

Layla Sabrah, Reporter

North High donates can goods to the Salvation Army every year. Every year something different and special is done to raise money and canned goods. This year a North High teacher and sponsor for FCCLA, Mrs. Delforge, came up with a fun way to raise money.

“We were just brainstorming ways to raise money for the Salvation Army, this is what we thought would be a fun way to get students to donate,” Delforge said.

“Principal cups” is a way to raise money and make everybody laugh. Each principal has a cup, people donate money to that cup and the principal with the most money has to dress up silly.

So far, Mr. Riley is in the lead followed closely by Mr. Perkins.

While its all for fun, the sole purpose is to help the Salvation Army’s “Building Hope Project” out. All cash donations will be converted into food and hygiene items on Thursday February 9th and will be transported Saturday for the building competition.

“We thought there’d be higher demand to see principals dressing up silly,” Delforge said, “so far we’re kind of disappointed.”

Perkins, Myrick, Silva, Riley and Padgett are all participating.

We encourage students to donate money to help out Salvation Army and see the principals dress up silly! “Principal cups” is lasting all week, see Mrs. Delforge about donating!
