North High is known to have many scholarships, some of which students do not realize are available to them. With many seniors heading to college this fall, it is always a good idea to apply to as many scholarships as possible. One of those scholarships is called “Wichita Northside Businessmen’s Association Scholarship”. This scholarship was made back in 2005 by an unknown woman and it is exclusive to only our school. It is for any senior who has demonstrated excellent academic achievement and has participated extensively in extra curricular activities. Also, they show characteristics of team work and strong work ethic. Finally, they must have a GPA of 2.75. This scholarship is given out to 4 seniors who receive $250 each and are chosen by a committee here at North. Even though $250 may not seem a lot in the eyes of many students, it is still a pretty great scholarship.
