The Varsity Volleyball team made history this year by hosting sub-state at Wichita North High School for the first time in 20 years. However, North’s successful season came to an early end.
Lawrence Free State defeated North in two sets, going 25-8 in the first and 25-20 in the second. North finished with a record of 20-13.
The slow start in the first set proved to be too much to overcome according to junior Andrea Hernandez.
“I think our team wasn’t putting in their effort due to nerves, they definitely settled in the second set, though. I just feel it was a bit too late,” she said.
