After 22 years, head golf coach Scott Baxter is retiring at the end of the year.
The girls golf team has improved greatly since the beginning of the season in August. Baxter is very proud of the girls’ hard work, improvement, and dedication.
“This group has a lot of potential that we were working on unlocking this season,” Baxter said. “I am going to miss seeing the players in the fall, but I have faith that whoever the incoming coach is will do a great job.”
Regionals for this season was at Sim Park. Reese Buell was only one stroke away from qualifying for state. Although she was close, that is how golf goes. Every single stroke counts.
“All the girls tried their best and I could tell,” Buell said. “I think everyone could improve in their own way.”
