The 2022 Eastern Scholastic has recently ended and its winners have been announced under the gold key, silver key, and honorable mentions. To submit an art piece, the students must include a title, a description, and a signed form from parents. According to Ms. Baird there were around 1,600 entries and only 428 winners. Of her 50 student entries, she had 2 gold keys winners, 4 silver key winners, and 13 honorable mentions. The entries are viewed by professional artists under its category. Such categories include but are not limited to ceramics, drawings, paintings, or sculptures.

Madelynn Classen, a senior here at North, was one of the gold key winners and American Vision Nominee. She’s both surprised and joyous to find out that her art will be displayed on the cover of the opening house at Mark Arts.
