Drama produces ‘timely’ play

North High held its first play of the year on October 7th and 8th. This production was the opening production for the year, and an intro for many to come.

Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind is a production put on by the drama department. This production was centered around 30 different acts in 60 minutes. “I am very proud of the group of actors and actresses that preformed in this production.” Producer Kevin Norfleet said.

The lead up to the play wasn’t without some concern.

“The week leading up to the play I was getting worried we wouldn’t be able to make the time limit, however the two three days before opening night watching them preform I was proud to see them reach their time limit.”

Those who attended the performance enjoyed what they saw.

“This was the first play I have attended and I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t really know what I was expecting, however I enjoyed being there and watching it,” senior Thomas Robberson said.

Senior Benjamin Pratt agreed.

“I was watching the cast practice and run through the play the days leading up to it, I helped with the viewer interactions while they were rehearsing. It was pretty cool to be a part of and I was happy to see it all come together before opening night.”

The next performance date is still to be determined.
