After qualifying for the state tournament for the 1st time in many years last fall, the North High girls golf team was determined to continue success into this season, and they officially completed their goal this past Monday in Garden City.

Their performance at the Southwind Golf and Dining course got them 4th place and in turn a place in the state tournament next Monday in Salina, KS at Municipal Golf Course.

Their impressive back-to-back qualifications are made even better upon knowing that Southwind is one of the hardest courses in Kansas!

As a team they scored 449, and individually Senior Phoenix Hill scored 101 which earned her an 8th place finish, while Senior Lauren Busch was 2 strokes off of 10th place with a score of 110.

Senior Maley Hansen scored 117, Freshman Reese Buell scored 121, and Senior Giavanna Tomlinson scored for 125.
