Girls Tennis Win Over South High

Wendy Martinez, Reporter

The girls tennis had a close match against south winning 5-4. Two of the points that were won by South were tiebreakers for varsity doubles one and three . “Its hard being on a tiebreaker you feel defeated and lost right when the points for the tiebreakers start counting,  you get nervous and easily mess up,”  Isabella Hernandez varsity player number six said.

Due to the weather both varsity and JV only played an eight game pro-set with varsity doing a short deuce and JV having no deuce.

“Its been a hard week without having coach for our past two games it definitely felt good winning yesterday,” said Sandra Vazquez varsity player number four. Coach Killenberg has been out for an emergency since Tuesday September 21, with Mr. Douglas the athletic director for North High taking over coaching the girls tennis team during practice and Mrs. Gruber our new financial literacy teacher at North taking over the coaching during the games.
