New Pokémon Snap is an all-new game inspired by the 1999 Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap. This game’s release date was set to come out on April 30, 2021. Many kids born in the 90s were really excited that a new Pokémon Snap was being made .

But it’s been 22 years since the release of the original Pokémon Snap. New Pokémon Snap isn’t just a reboot, it’s an entirely new game.

In Pokémon Snap, you play as a wildlife photographer, taking pictures of the original Pokémon in a 3D world. This game was originally played back on the original Nintendo 64 in the late 90s.

According to npr.org, “I would play the levels over and over again to get the perfect shots and hopefully get the approval of Professor Oak, the original Pokémon Professor, who rated my photos after each level. Other people in my generation felt the same magic I did”
