On April 6th, Eric Hammond resigned as the head basketball coach.  Athletic director Tony Douglas said, “the job will be posted on the district school site, resumes and applications will be gone through, interviews and then the best candidate will be offered.” Hammond will be missed and all of his coaching abilities. Douglas says everything will be missed about Hammond. “His character, integrity, and the way he coached the game.”

Hammond stated that one of his favorite memories was from the 2018-2019 season. “Carson Cole, our team manager got a chance to suit up and play in our last varsity home game.  He made the first two points for our team that game.  It was an amazing moment for Carson and our school.” Hammond is going to miss teaching at North, but he will still teach social studies when he moves. Coach Hammond will take a year off from coaching and focus on his work and his new job in Texas.
