Bowling Season Recap

Grace Claudio, Reporter

The Bowling team did a fantastic job this season but now that our bowling season is over, lets have a recap of the season.

There were tryouts for one week in December, and the season began on January 4. The season ended on February 26th .

Mr. Long, head bowling coach and automotive teacher, says that  the team improved drastically during the season and that he is very proud of the team and their efforts during practices and games.

According to Long, this year we have one Senior who committed to bowl at the college level and has a bowling scholarship: Kylie Lowe.

Long has also stated that his most improved bowler this season would go to Senior Rey Amador.

For Amador’s first year of competition, Long proudly stated, “His first year of competition and he did a fantastic job of learning this life-long sport.”

Long was just disappointed in the way the season had ended with their last competition. Although no one had qualified for state this year he stated that a couple players were very close to going.

To keep safe with Covid-19 was a little easier since it is not a contact sport but they all still practiced safety guidelines.
