Thursday, February 13, the wrestling team has their last dual held at Heights high school. “ We’re pretty evenly matched up , and if we wrestle hard we can come out with the win. We beat them last year and we certainly have gotten better then we were last year . I feel pretty good about that , but at the end of the day, we’re just gonna wrestle hard, have a good attitude, and have good effort. “ – Head Coach, Burgess

Friday, February 14, the girls are headed to regionals, which is held in McPherson. Burgess states, “ It’s time to go , we got a couple girls that have a really good chance to punch their ticket to state. We’ll see how it goes. We’ve been working all year for it, there’s nothing we can do now besides just going out there and wrestle. All of the preparation is done. “

Saturday, February 15, is the boys city league held at North High. “ If Jackson wins his weight class, he’ll be the first city league champion we’ve had in awhile. We have several other kids that have a pretty good chance to place. You never know, there’s a lot of crazy things that happen in February. Kids just show up and start wrestling hard. I’ve been pretty impressed with Cody at 145 lately . He’s been doing really good. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cruz blew up here at the end of the year and has a really good finish to the season. That’s something that’s been on the back of my mind so I’d love to see that happen. I think it’s definitely possible. And then we have a couple of other really consistent kids that have a chance to make it to state and place at city league, “ said Coach Burgess
