Repertory theatre students participated in a charity event called “Angel Tree”. The purpose of Angel Tree is to provide new clothes and toys to children in need that also have at least one parent in prison. The boy chosen for Rep was named Joseph who is nine years old. What he put on his christmas wish list was roller skates and lego blocks. To raise the money needed rep sold different types of pastries and candies at school during lunch for about 2 days. They managed to make over 100$ towards the gifts for Joseph. One rep student who participated in the Angel Tree said she was very excited because it helps people in need. Another rep student that participated said “Not only are we boosting our reputation in the drama department, we are also making a positive change in someone’s life, which is helpful to the community.”
