Who is Mrs. Dean?
August 23, 2019
North High’s 2019-2020 year is full of new administration and changes. Mrs. Dean is one of many exciting new additions, but students haven’t had a chance to get to know her yet.
Mrs. Dean is the new gifted facilitator. She oversees the gifted department for all 4 years of students, and also assists in the AP Literature class. Many will remember that these tasks were formerly Ms. Jessica Williams’ jobs, before she moved to her new job in Colorado. Mrs. Dean shadowed and learned from Ms. Williams during the 2018-2019 school year, and now she’s ready to take on the task for herself, although she has some different methods and unique teaching styles.
Mrs. Dean knew she wanted to be a teacher even before she could read. She recalls setting up her stuffed animals with pencils and papers and giving them little lectures. She actually attended North High school as a teenager, and agreed to take on this position as gifted facilitator just to be back. She has decided she would like to spend her last working years here at North. Her dedication to North and to teaching in general makes her an amazing fit for our school.
