Thank You Next Album Review
February 14, 2019
Ariana Grande’s new album ‘Thank U, Next’ was released February 7th. The album includes 12 songs total and is 41 minutes long. This is Ariana’s second album in just six months, she released her previous album “Sweetener” in August of 2018 . This album along with her previous album “Sweetener”, are her most outgoing, riskiest albums, they showcase both her vulnerability and strength. This is one of the most delicate but yet powerful pop albums as it does not just capture Ariana’s stunning vocals but her as an artist as well.
The album has a mood of self-love and disclosure. There was also a playful hyped vibe especially in the songs NASA, 7 Rings, and Bloodline which begins with her much loved Nona speaking. The album ended with “Break Up With Your Girlfriend I’m Bored” as Ariana said “I liked the idea of ending a more honest n vulnerable project and with like a punchline”. The album has blown up in the days following the release. Most of the feedback over the album overall has been positive.
Sweetener was characterized as a determined artist creating a massive pop statement. However, Thank U, Next is characterized by a strong woman and making mood, and taking that mood to the next level. Both albums are pop sensations that have taken over the world.
