Music has become a huge a part of everyday routines for some and very influential on today’s culture. 

Recently, the many options of streaming services has created a debate. Which is superior, Apple Music or Spotify?

“In my opinion Spotify is better for people who have a more diverse music taste, it’s for intellectuals,” senior Rosalia Salazar said.

“Apple Music is mostly for people who listen to mainstream artist.” 

Spotify is free, but offers a premium service for $9.99 a month with more features and no advertisements. Apple Music does not offer a free version, but does offer a family plan and student discount of $4.99 a month.

 Spotify is known for creating daily mixes based off users listening history and discover weekly playlist, 30 new songs to discover. Apple Music is known for playing popular mainstream music, such as Drake, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga.

“I rather pay for Apple Music to listen without ads & add the songs I want,” Junior Yessica Gonzalez said. 

The pros and cons of both services weigh the same, but it doesn’t stop users from expressing their favorite service as superior.
