Juniors have the opportunity to get ready for ACT for free. GearUp is going to pay for several ACT prep workshops. These workshops will be during the weekend.  “The workshops will prepare the student for the ACT especially if it their first time taking it so that once they are taking it the students feel more comfortable,” Logan Stork, director of the CCC said. “They focus on the 4 subjects. You have practice questions and students get to see how much time they get.”

There are 4 schools participating: North, South, Southeast, and West which all have GearUp. The workshops will be on January 12th from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., January 19th 12pm-4pm, January 26th 9am-1pm, February 2nd 12pm-4pm, February 9th 9am-1pm, and February 16th 12pm-4pm. Each workshop will be held at Wichita State University, Ahlberg Hall, Room 200. If any student needs transportation it is provided as well. If you have any questions ask your GearUp coordinator. Each workshop has 200 seats so hurry and go sign up with your GearUp coordinator or go to you CCC. The deadline is Wednesday, January 9th, 2019.
