Calling all girls! Living in a generation where the diminishment of women is often present, where young girls are often left without a voice, and where equality of gender isn’t always seen, why not take the initiative and get empowered? Girls empowering girls is a new club in which girls will have a voice and learn how to use it.

Come join other girls who seek the same thing: encouragement, celebration, and motivation. The meetings will consist of a variety of Empowering topics as well as a special focus on the following traits; courage, charisma, strength, creativity, achievement, optimism, and diversity.

Ms. Sanchez, as well as Ms. Atkinson, are the sponsors of the club. Ms. Sanchez created this club in order to help and inspire young girls to stand up for themselves and grow the strength to face the difficulties that come with being a girl.

“ It’s not just about getting empowered, but also about finding one’s self, one’s voice”, said Ms. Sanchez, intern at North.

The first meeting will be held on Monday, September 17th during lunch in F112.
