Dear Sophomores…
February 2, 2018
Class of 2020, sophomore year is coming to an end. Things are about to get a bit more difficult.
Sophomores should be looking forward to junior year to start preparing for the ACT.
The ACT stands for American College Testing. This is a tests the consists of reading, math, social studies and science. The ACT is a test that covers how much you’ve learned over the years in school.
It is important to take the ACT if you are planning to go to college because most, if not all colleges require an ACT score. Most colleges recommend at least a composite score of 21 or higher.
Most teachers encourage students to take the ACT their junior year so that if they do not like their scores they can retake it. Also so because that is one less thing for you to worry about senior year.
Get involved, ask for help and do what you got to do so that you are on the right track to graduate.
Class of 2020 also has their own sponsor, known as Gear Up. That is another tool you can use for help, or questions.
Don’t wait until the last minute to study or get help. If you are not already, get connected with the College Career Center she has information on the WSU ACT workshops. She also helps with college applications, transcripts, etc.
You are not alone. Get the help you need when you need it!
To all my fellow sophomores, Good luck on your ACT if you decide to take it.
