A couple of students in the leadership class this year decided to stand up this year for a cause that everyone overlooked. The three girls Amber, Melissa and Riley wrote a detailed story on the need for are school needing new recycling systems. The girls were the only ones at North that applied for the grant. The grant given from the Recycling Wichita Community Offered up to $1,000 and the girls were given $900 of that. The money went towards 40 recycling bins liners that are biodegradable.
