The Bingham Scholarship was set up to honor Nicole Bingham, a North graduate who was killed in an apartment complex fire in Lawrence in 2005. At the time, Bingham was a senior at the University of Kansas. She loved history and wanted to work in museum management.
Within days of her death, her mother, Nancy Bingham, began a scholarship fund at North to help other students achieve their dreams. Bingham hopes that the scholarship will help students who are interested in history or have the same passion for learning that Nicole had.
