During first hour Monday, Feb. 6^th there will be a presentation about dating violence.
Dr. Curt Brungardt and Dr. Christie Brungardt will be addressing teen dating violence awareness. The will tell the story of their daughter’s personal experience with domestic violence, and they will explain the signs of unhealthy relationships.
The Brungardt’s daughter tragically passed away due to her ex-boyfriend’s jealousy and domestic violence. Her parents want to prevent any other family having to experience what they did. Since their daughter’s death, they have begun speaking and trying to help spread education about and prevention of gender and relationship violence.
The assembly will be in the auditorium. It is intended for ninth graders, but other students can attend if they are pre-signed by Mrs. Hewitt.
