North High School has many un-popularized scholarships. One of them happens to be named the Temple Business Scholarship. The Temple Business Scholarship is for students enrolled in business classes. A student is able to win $500 to put towards college. In order to win, you have to be selected by the business department. It is founded in honor of a teacher who used to work at North, Robert Temple. He and his wife tragically passed away in a suspected robbery of their house in 1979. Letha Temple, his wife, was also a teacher. According to his colleagues, he was dedicated to his job and considered “a pro”. His former students said, “He was all business”. The scholarship is in honor of Temple, who contributed much to his colleagues, students, and North High School.
