Boys Basketball Responds After First Loss Of The Season
December 13, 2016
When the final horn sounded signaling a 69-38 loss to South, the boys basketball team knew they had to come back ready to play the next day against West. The Pioneers are winless on the season and were also coming off of a loss the night before. North dominated West all four quarters and came out on top with a 77-44 win.
Head coach Gary Squires was happy with the way his team responded on Saturday. “Playing back to back is never easy but I liked how we played. The night before we came out flat and didn’t play as a team but we came out there Saturday with tons of energy and weren’t selfish.”
This week the Redskins have a tough test playing at Kapaun tonight and then Heights at home on Friday.
“This week is going to be tough. We are going to have to play smart and play as a team in both of the games this week. Kapaun is going to be tough playing on their home court and then playing an always tough Heights team here at home. It should be fun,” Squires said.
Tonights boys game will start at 7:30 at Kapaun Mt. Carmel.
Fridays game will be here at North starting at 7:30 with the theme being Hawaiian night.
