North Election Poll
November 17, 2016
The Junior classes of Mrs. Brandenburgs U.S. History 2 classes drew national and some local candidates and researched the candidates on five different areas: Immigration, Education, Economy, Taxes, and Environment. The students were then told to create a promotional poster over the candidate and the best posters were chosen to film a 12 minute video talking why that candidate would be good for the position they are running for. All of the social studies classes at North were shown the videos and the students then voted on survey monkey. The results were tallied and Clinton won the presidential vote with 61% and Trump came in 2nd with 15%. For Kansas Senators, Moran won with 42% and Weisner was 2nd with 32%. Giroux won the House of Representatives vote with 35% while Pompeo took 2nd with 31%. And finally Norton won the Sedgwick County Commissioner with 51% and O’Donnell was 2nd with 48.9% of the vote.
