‘Get Out’ premiered in theatres on February 14^th. The director, Jordan Peele, did a fantastic job of mixing horror, comedy, and racial injustices within one movie. Jordan Peele is also a star in a comedy show ‘Key and Peele’. ‘Get Out’ could have been a flop in theatres, which many people thought it would be due to its comedy director. It beat the odds and prevailed as one of the best movies of 2017 so far. In its opening weekend, it generated $33,377,060. The preview set the scene to the mystery and horror aspect of the film. Not only does it tackle social issues in the plot, but it also is an interesting and wonderfully filmed movie. I would recommend this movie to any one. Even if you do not care for horror movies, it is a must see. The twist at the end has me wanting to see it for a second time. Jordan Peele definitely hit a home run with his first movie.
