Bleed For This is about the inspirational true story about professional boxer Vinny Pazienza and the struggles he faced trying to overcome a traumatic injury leaving the possibility to never walk again.

After winning the WBA Super Welterweight Title, Vinny Pazienza (Miles Teller) was on top of the world, having the title, making money, living the life he loved to live. After celebrating for awhile Vinny and a friend of his decide to go and get coffee on a cold icy day in Providence, Rhode Island. When an incoming car swerves into their lane and hits the car head on leaving Vinny unconscious in the car. The medics come and rush him to a nearby hospital where he is hooked up to machines and his family is left to wait and hope that Vinny opens his eyes again.

After waking up Vinny is told by the doctor that it will be a miracle if he ever walks again. Vinny doesn’t believe that and is set out to prove the doctor and even his family members wrong and not only walk again, but even step in the ring to fight again.

Vinny returns home where his life is a lot different. Not being able to walk normal, having a HALO planted into his head, and family not supporting his dreams of fighting again.

Depression starts to set in for Vinny when he decides to start putting all of his boxing stuff away down in the basement and resorts to going to the casino and staying all the night wasting his money.

Everything changes for Vinny when he goes to the basement and sees a bench press rack and he decides it’s time to start lifting again and get stronger. He lays down on the rack and tries to lift but to his surprise, he can’t even lift the bar up.

Will Vinny be able to workout again and push himself to fight again? Or will the constant doubt from his family hold him back into retirement from boxing?
