Baseball season is starting soon and many people are excited. Especially the baseball players, such as All-City returner and senior Eric Escamilla.

“I’m really excited, I think we have a decent team and we can beat a lot of schools this season. I’m really looking forward to playing, especially since this is my senior year.”

Jordan Doss, another All-City returner and senior, is looking forward to playing with some new faces.

“I’m really looking forward to starting the season off with a great group of guys that are all ready to work and get better.”

Head Coach Kyle Sanders had quite a bit to say about the team and their goals for this season.

“I think the season is going to go by quickly, but we’ve got a lot of holes to fill. At this point in time, we are in search mode to fill certain positions.”

Coach Sanders has a lot of faith in the team and is  ready or it to start.

“They are bunch of good kids and were just really looking to improve every day and every week,” Sanders said.

The first game of the season is on March 30 against Southeast.
